 Mark of safe waters

Mark of safe waters shows that surrounding waters are safe for sailing and without navigational danger. This mark is placed, for example, to denote middle of sailing route, sailing channel or coast accessing route.

Shape of mark is completly different from shape of alone danger mark; that is spheric buoy colored with re and white vertical stripes, or post or bar, also colored with vertical red and white stripes. Top sign iz red sphere. If the mark is with light, it is white colored, isophased ritham, occulting, one long flash every 10 s or Morse A.

Special marks

Special marks don't have primary designation as navigational marks; they are used to denote special areas or objects, about what mariner is informed from charts or other navigational publications.

These marks are yellow colored, can have top sign in shape of letter 'X', also yellow colored. If they are equiped with light, it is yellow. To avoid confusion between white and yellow light during poor visibility, ritham of yellow light must be diferent of one used for white light.

Shape of special marks should not be diferent in shape from oteher navigatioanl marks.

To emphasize meaning of special marks, letters or numbers can be added to special marks.

Cardinal marks

Cardinal marks denote that the deepest water in marked area is positioned in quadrant named with mark, safe sailing side nearby navigational threat and important place place in sailing route: turn, point of connecting or branching sailing routes or end border of shallow waters.

Lateral marks

Lateral marks are used for defining left and right side of sailing route or channel following 'conventional mark direction'. In Zone A* left side of sailing route is marked red, day and night, and right side is green. In Zone B* other way around: left side is green, ans right is red.

Usualy are equiped with spare light. Lighthouse Coastal light marks parts of coast, pasess, channels, harbours approaches and navigatioanal obstacles. Light carrier is usually post with bar or tower with post and gallery. Harbour's light Light marks define position and borders of navigationals obstacles and sailing routes. They can be floating, fixed or stabed, or joint elastic. As result of currents and waves, they can be moved or teared away from position. Light marks
